Not here to start any more flame wars Wink
I've started working on a more complete vim-erlang integration, and is currently using it in my daily work. An early version is online at http://www.vim.org and it seams that the maintainer of a previous vim-erlang plugin package is interested in joining forces.

If anyone is interested in this and want to help out/test the packages please let me know!

Why don't use the existing one to Emacs/XEmacs? I have tested your VIM plug-in and I fought it was really hard to install. Can you maybe give some quick instruction on how to install it from scratch? I'm new to VIM but not new to Linux.

To install it you just untar the whole tarball into $HOME/.vim/
or, for a global installation to /usr/share/vim/vimXX/, where XX is your version, i.e. 64, 70 etc.

You also need to select a colourscheme to be able to see the highlighting.

To get more info about installing plugins do :help plugins in vim normal (command) mode.

As for reasons for not using another editor, I wont go into ayn detail. Please refer to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Editor_wars Wink

I'm very interested to see where this project is going to end up. I've never been a fan of Emacs way of doing things and vim is definetly a good alternative for writing code in. I've been using your plugin for almost a month now and eventhough I cannot use of it's features in my vim 6.4 installation the ones available are very nice.

I've put up a repos for it now, and we will probably try to merge our codebase together soonish.
And as usual, if anyone feel like helping out, it's all good Smile

You can find the current stable release here. Mind that some features only work with Vim 7.0 and not 6.4. You can however run the plugin with both 7.0 and 6.4, you just won't get all the nifty features in 6.4.

well, as of now i believe you get an error in 6.4..
also, activating all features seem to have to do with my vimrc
furthermore, it is a pre-release....

there is another VIM-package, and some discussions about merging these... but we'll see...
