I've just recently moved the yaws.hyber.org site to a more
stable location - It used to sit behind an adsl cable in my cupboard
at home, but now runs ... hold your breath .. in the cloud !! tada.

One of my colleagues said that sometimes yaws.hyber.org is down. But I
had never seen it down myself, so I'm not sure if it is unstable.

This is a great step forward anyway. Where can I read about the history of Yaws?

It's been unstable alright - it's almost been like magic, the moment
I leave the house for more than a couple of days, some adsl shit happens
and the modem had to be rebooted.

Nowhere - I've never written anything about it. I remember what triggered
me to start the Yaws project though. At the time I was playing indoor hockey
with a bunch of friends. I'd never ever done any web development, but
nevertheless I went about to make a small dyn site where players could
indicate whether they were going to show up at the games each Sunday
evening or not. I started out using the - at the time - obvious choice of
technology, apache, php, mysql and was absolutely amazed at how much
that sucked. So I though - I can do better, thus, instead of building the
hockey site - I got completely sidetracked.

- So when is the hockey site done ?
- Ehhh, soon I've just got to write a webserver first

Something like that Smile

Cool! I would like to see how this works out. I have my own sites on a
server in a cupboard at home Smile
