Hello,
I have a rather mystifying problem with ejabberd.
Environment: SuSE 10.1 x86-64 and SuSE 9.0 i586
Erlang 5.5 (pthreads support compiled)
Each time I start ejabberd I get a
=============================================================================
=INFO REPORT==== 20-Jul-2006::12:10:16 ===
application: ejabberd
exited: {bad_return,{{ejabberd_app,start,[normal,[]]},
{'EXIT',{badarg,
[{erlang,
port_control,
[stringprep_port,
1,
"jabber1.work.com"]},
{stringprep,control,2},
{jlib,nameprep,1},
{ejabberd_auth,auth_modules,1},
{ejabberd_auth,'-start/0-fun-1-',1},
{lists,foreach,2},
{ejabberd_app,start,2},
{application_master,start_it_old,4}]}}}}
type: temporary
===============================================================================
What is the mystery. Well running on my development SuSE 10.1 i586 box the processes come up fine. For all intends and purposes ejabberd is working.
I had also tried disabling threads on SuSE 9.0 with the same results.
Suggestions welcome.
Thanks
t

I fixed the problem. Scrolling up I noted the driver was not found. Symlink solved the problem.
However this leads to another question: how would you specify where the libraries are without resorting to symlinks ?
Putting an entry in LD_LIBRARY_PATH did not do the trick.
Thanks
