I have at least one question plus some ideas regarding development processes and tools that I would like to get some feed-back on from the Erlang community, but the existing list of forums does not quite have a category for this type of question.
The existing forums cover the technical aspects of Erlang development well, but there is a bundle of things outside Erlang that must be in place in order to make a project a success:
which development process fits the needs of an Erlang the best?
integration with bug tracking and version control systems
You get the idea... 
Would there be an interest in such a forum? Or is it just a process nerd like me that finds this interesting?

LeHoff, personally I voted No, simply since I don't think that most people would be interested in such a forum and it would probably just be you and me in there 
regarding development processes; Prototyping I think would be the best way to go... you create something that "works" pretty fast in Erlang, you learn from it and build a new one.
Otherwise this discussion could continue in perhaps advanced Erlang forum where you discuss how to manage Erlang projects...

I wouldn't mind, but I don't know how much traffic there would be in such a forum.
I would mainly use it for posting propaganda for distributed version control systems I guess  .
Maybe also XP and pair programming. |

I clearly see the need for discussions on tools and methodology. My only worry is that there will be too little traffic on that forum. Thereof my no.
After internal discussions, we merged together many of the forums (Forum themes included documentation, web development, graphics, databases) as people were posting to them once a month, if not less. By having three forums, traffic went up and posts started coming in on a daily basis. (Probably also as a result of the face lift).
What we have said in the previous posts is that as soon as there is enough traffic on any subject, we will split out the forum. Until then, we could use the Erlang forum for things such as methodologies and the Advanced Erlang one for discussions on Tools? Would you buy into that? If so, we could change the forum descriptions to reflect the above.
What do others think about it?

I would rather have them in the same forum, because sometimes they are related to each other.
You need the tools to support your methods and sometimes tweak your methods because of the tools. |

The main reason for having a forum for this was to have an incubator for things that would end up in the wiki after a bit of discussion and feed-back.
Since this is not directly linked to Erlang technical bits the best place might be "User Contributions" which could be renamed to "User Contributions & Experiences" along with the description "A forum for contributions from users, such as program, articles, development practices, development tools and much more".
And Ulf, it would indeed be a PR spot for distributed VC and agile - that is the way we are running our project!
I concur with Ulf that the processes and tools subjects should be in the same forum since it is only pointy haired bossed that thinks you have have one without the other

Unfortunately, changing the contributions forum to a will not work at this point in time. The reason is that we have developed a shell we plan on using around it specialized for source code contributions, and not for discussions. We hope to add an SVN repository soon, but this will not happen any day soon. Stay tuned, the shell should go live fairly soon.

And I agree as well, they should be in the same place. Back to a derivative of my first suggestion, inline with what Torben suggested, only difference being the forum. Why not change the Advanced Erlang description to include both these topics. Managers are advanced people. As long as they do not start discussing the color of the packaging of the VM (Which is faster, the blue or the red VM), I am sure they would be most welcome  . As soon as there is enough traffic to motivate a forum of its own in this area, we can create one and move the posts to it? Until then, you are welcome to hijack it, as traffic on it is very low. So, who is in for the first post on tools and methods?
