<  Advanced Erlang/OTP  ~  Import mts files to imovie for further editing on Mac

I have a Macbook with Mac OS X set up. I've set up iLife 09. I have just bought a new Canon camcorder. I can download the photos but I'm unable to open mts in iMovie. They can be in MTS format(AVCHD). Is there any application which I can import mts files to imovie?"

MTS is a kind of AVCHD format with the file extension of .mts which can be mainly recorded by some digital camcorders like Sony, Canon, Panasonic and so forth. These file format can not be compatible with a lot of applications like iMoive, FCP, in case you require to import MTS to iMovie, you have to convert MTS to iMovie MOV, MPEG-4, DV format.

Step by step on how to import MTS into iMovie

Step three: Convert MTS to iMovie
Click Convert, the entire progress will probably be finish instantly. Then import ripe mts to iMovie right.

Optional: Edit MTS files
click "clip", "Setting" and "Edit" can edit MTS files:modify resolution, Bit Price, Frame Charge ,Encoder through Setting, set starting up time and ending time by Trim, modify contrast saturation and brightness as a result of apply Impact, alter factor ratio(16:9/4:3)via Crop and merge, join, split, clip, snapshot video etc.

Immediately after converting, you can very easily import MTS files to iMovie for more editing.
