I want to access the job control commands in Windows while using erl (like c, connect to job). But when I type in ctrl-u in the shell, particularly when the current shell is in "receive" mode, nothing happens. How do I access the job control language when using Windows? How can I start another shell while in erl?

it's ctrl-g not ctrl-u (?)
