Or, what would be the 'best' way using the standard libraries, to log in to a web-site from an HTTPS starting point and then 'pretend' to be a user.
Yes, screen scraping is what I mean.
I have decided to learn more about Erlang again and so I have decided I want to pretend to be 'me' for a VoIP service I belong to.
The goal: to write an Erlang 'shell script' that can log in, go to the activity page, download the contents of that page, log off and finally scrape and pretty print the data so I can use the terminal window now and then to see if I have voicemail.
That's all.
I can do everything I want except the SSL thing... would I need to record the cookies and send them as well etc etc
I would be very interested in advice, tips, pointers etc that more enlightened and technically sound individuals could offer.
Thanks,
Sean Charles. |
