I'm in the design stages of an erlang web app project.
What could you recommend as the best route for user athentication?

Hi Zardoz,
you could have a look to the Erlang Web project:

We've just implemented an e-component (please, refer to the documentation for the terms and their meanings) to manage user authentication within an Erlang Web application. The e-component is split into an interface (named e_auth) and into a series of concrete implementations.
As far as I know, just e_auth_dets has been implemented and fully tested. It uses session variables and dets tables to manage users and groups. I definitely need to find some time to better document the use of this ecomponent and to provide some concrete code examples.

This will really help you to get a better idea about how things work, Its always good for people like you to stay tuned to ingersoll rand security technologies updates, to stay up with the trends. We've recently implemented an e-component to direct user authentication inside an Erlang Web application. |
