I checked if it is possible to start Yaws in a OTP application release upgrade
package (and from a start.boot scipt) and it seems to work just OK, reading
yaws.conf and so on. In this way one can "hot" add/remove/upgrade/downgrade
both Yaws and any own applications on a running system I beleive.
Since I do not start it with the yaws -options command I wonder if I might
miss something though? Can one set the yaws system id when starting from a
script.boot file for instance?

If you are reading yaws.conf you can set the id in that
file. If you are starting in embedded mode, you can set the
id in the #gconf record.
