Y'ello. Are there any binaries for R11B-3 for SunOS 5.8. I have tried installing Erlang by building from source, however I get the following error:
root@nisdev02 # ./configure
creating cache ./config.cache
Disabeling caching
Removing cache file ./config.cache
checking host system type... sparc-sun-solaris2.10
checking for GNU make... no
configure: error: GNU make is required!
quite strange considering that there is gnu make on this machine
root@nisdev02 # pkginfo | grep make
system SUNWgm4 gmake - GNU m4
system SUNWgmake gmake - GNU make
system SUNWxcu4t XCU4 make and sccs utilities
root@nisdev02 # which make
/usr/ccs/bin/make
root@nisdev02 #

I ran into this just yesterday... I worked around it by downloading and compiling GNU make into a new directory in my home directory and I modified my path so that new directory would be searched first.
Clunky, but it worked.  |
